Good Morning Bethany Family,
Here are some changes that you will find when you come to church this coming Sunday. To limit the possibility to transmit illness we ask that you read the following:
- Please use hand sanitizer stations when you arrive at the church building. There are several hand sanitation locations around the building. Please ask a Door Greeter or Usher for assistance if you are unable to locate one.
- Though there will be church bulletins available to you as you arrive at church in the morning they will not be handed to you. Please feel free to pick one up yourself and they will be located at the entrance of the sanctuary.
- We will not be passing the offering bags down the isles. An alternative to receiving the offering is being worked on and instruction for the offering will be given during the announcements this coming Sunday.
- Please limit any kind of body contact during this time until the threat has passed. Please pass your friendly greetings by simply waving and saying a kind “hello.”
- There will be a zero-tolerance of any kind of sickness in all children and youth ministry. Please refrain from coming into these areas if your child is sick.
We are continually evaluating these procedures and are always looking to improve. Please be flexible as you come to gather together each Sunday because we are entering uncertain days. Information and circumstances are changing by the day. We need to have a mindset that change is the new norm for a while.
On another note, the BBC leadership is asking that you please inform the church office if you are sick, or if you know of anyone else so that we can do what we can to help. If you are not sick, please keep in regular contact with others. Check-in with people regularly, especially the elderly. This is no time to withdraw personal contact with each other, in fact, it should be the opposite.
- Philippians 2:4 - do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.
- Galatians 6:2 - Bear one another's burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ.
- Galatians 6:10 - So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith.
- Ephesians 4:32 - Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.
Please be prayerful of this situation and use this time for the glory of God. Be kind, thoughtful, prayerful, generous, encouraging and as Paul says, “do not grow tired of doing good” Galatians 6:9-10).
Blessings Pastor Peter
